  Debra Bruno explores New York’s 200-year history of slavery through her
  own family’s past.\n\nAfter discovering that her own Dutch ancestors ha
 d been enslavers\, Debra began her journey to uncover hidden histories. Al
 ong the way\, she met Eleanor Mire\, a descendant of the very people her a
 ncestors enslaved. Together\, they worked to tell the stories of people lo
 ng forgotten\, investigating history hidden in plain sight.\n\nCopies of A
  Hudson Valley Reckoning will be available for purchase. Lectures are FREE
  and take place in the Senate House Museum Building. No reservations requi
