Upcycling is a creative and fun way to reimagine unwanted items and turn our waste into new, useful items or works of art! Not everything can be recycled, but we can give new life to old items by reusing and upcycling them.
The class will be hosted at the Town of Esopus Public Library and facilitated by the UCRRA Recycling Outreach Team, celebrating the library’s Summer Reading Program Series with the focus on Oceans of Possibilities.
Participants in this class will learn about the impact of plastic pollution on our oceans and wildlife, and will create works of upcycled art from some common plastic objects.
Join UCRRA in celebrating Plastic Free July and make sea creatures out of plastic! All craft materials will be provided. Parental supervision is necessary. This FREE hands on workshop is open for children/teens of all ages.
TO SIGN UP: Class size is limited. Please RSVP online at the link provided.
