SUMMARY:******* CANCELED******* Tim Moore - Unplugged | A Benefit for Fami
 ly of Woodstock
DESCRIPTION:******* CANCELED*******\n\nTim Moore’s timeless melodies and
deeply expressive lyrics have earned acclaim from master songwriters like
 Jimmy Webb\, Keith Richards\, James Taylor\, and Elton John. He’s best k
nown for his classic ballad\, “Second Avenue” and his number-one Brazi
lian hit “Yes.”\nIn this special benefit show for Family of Woodstock\
, Tim will play a set of his best songs—unplugged—on Maverick’s magn
ificent grand piano.  Later in the evening\, he’ll be joined by jazz ve
terans Rich Syracuse (bass) and Jeff Seigel (drums) to reveal another
side of his musicianship that few have heard. In Maverick’s intimate out
door setting\, audiences will discover the many sides of Tim Moore: songwr
 iter\, pianist\, vocalist\, interpreter\, and improviser.\nTim’s Maveric
k appearance follows his sold-out 2026 concert at the Byrdcliffe Theater\,
where he will return this fall with his full band.\nA longtime Woodstock
resident\, Tim Moore arrived in Woodstock at the height of its musical ren
aissance. After winning $25\,000 grand prize at the American Song Festival
\, he was signed by David Geffen to the prestigious Asylum label\, joining
an artist roster that featured Joni Mitchell\, Jackson Browne\, and Bob D
ylan. Tim went on to release five critically acclaimed albums on Asylum an
d toured extensively\, sharing bills with Bonnie Raitt\, Jackson Browne\,
Billy Joel\, and the Beach Boys. Four years after his American Song Festiv
al win\, Tim flew to New Zealand to serve as America’s representative fo
r the Pacific Song Festival in Christchurch.\nTim Moore and his trio are d
onating their talents to benefit Family of Woodstock. Family is celebrati
ng 56 years of helping people with “any problem under the sun.” This y
ear\, the agency will see its long-time Executive Director Michael Berg
retire at the end of September. Michael’s commitment to the agency’s c
lients\, working tirelessly on behalf of those who need help with housing\
 , food\, clothing\, employment\, domestic violence support and more\, is b
eing celebrated with several events throughout the year. For more informat
ion\, visit www.fowinc.org. Michael will be attending the Tim Moore conce
rt\, so come by and wish him well!
