SUMMARY:Three Day Class - Viscosity Printing with Collagraphs &amp\; Drypoi
 nt Etching (NPS)
DESCRIPTION:3 Saturdays\nJanuary 10 \,17\, 24 (Snow Day 31)\n6:00-8:30 pm\n
\nPrice: $310\n\nAges 16+\n\nJoin us in this 3 day introductory class wher
e artist Cole Solis will guide students on how to build collagraph plates
and incorporate viscosity printing to print multiple colors simultaneously
! Viscosity is a multi-color printmaking technique\, also known as “simu
ltaneous color printing\,” where one can manipulate inks to be of differ
ent thickness and fluidity. This creates a resistance in some inks and all
ows all colors to be achieved on a single plate. This technique results in
unique and ink lush prints!\n\nIn this class students will learn various
methods of viscosity printing using collagraph or plexiglass plates. Stude
nts will create plates from found materials (ex: string\, tapes\, plants\,
contact paper\, etc.) and learn to coat their plates using inks of differ
ent viscosity. Students will learn about the versatile and playful qualiti
es this technique offers. Don't miss this opportunity to add this techniqu
e to your artist toolkit!\n\nIf students wish to substitute collagraph wit
h a drypoint on plexi-glass\, that will be possible too! All materials in
cluded.\n\nParking: Please park on either Iwo Jima Lane or Cedar Street.
Parking that is located in front of the Neighborhood Print Studio are for
