 rod has been playing music for decades now\, with some of the best musicia
 ns in the world. He opened for Janis Joplin back in the day\, and for Levo
 n Helm at the old Lone Star in Manhattan. His funk-based fare has roots ro
 ck and country flavors\, and environmental themes way before it became fas
 hion His CD Children of the Earth was produced by renowned drummer Gary Bu
 rke (Bob Dylan\, Joe Jackson Shania Twain) and featured the JBs-Maceo Park
 er\, Pee Wee Ellis and Fred Wesley- the famed original horn section for Ja
 mes Brown\, members of NRBQ’s Joey Spampinato\, Terry Adams\, Steve Ferg
 uson and Frank Gadler joined in as well as John Platania\, Ed Roynesdal\, 
 Ted Orr\, Swampbat Sheehan and Rob Leon. From the save the planet themed 
 “Children of the Earth” and “Diggerman\,” the underlying faith of 
 “Trust Me\,” to the rollicking “Rollercoaster” and anti-war “Pea
 ce and Love\,” his music is inspiring on many levels\, both viscerally a
 nd spiritually\; it makes you want to move and has a message. The Amrod Ba
 nd currently plays in the Hudson Valley area\, where it’s built a solid 
 fanbase the old-fashioned way\, by relentless gigs and great shows.\n\nChe
