 ackaging (like food take-out containers) are wasteful products that are us
 ed once\, for a very short period of time\, before being discarded in a la
 ndfill where they may take hundreds of years to “break down.” These wa
 steful single-use products add up to make a big impact on our planet and c
 ommunities. Luckily\, “low-waste living” and the “Bring Your Own” 
 movement has inspired many people to choose reuse when dining or shopping 
 on-the-go.\n\nThis workshop is designed for teens (age 14+) and young adul
 ts who want to learn about the impact that “take-out” or “to-go” c
 ontainers have on litter and waterways. Participants will also be introduc
 ed to how single use plastics may also affect our health. Most importantly
 \, participants will learn about the power of reuse through “tiffins” 
 which are reusable stainless steel food containers\, and other ways to avo
 id single use items when dining on the go!\n\nAll participants who pre-reg
 ister will receive a free tiffin at the end of the workshop\, compliments 
 of Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency. This program will be presented 
 by Angelina Brandt\, UCRRA Director of Sustainability at Ulster County Res
 ource Recovery Agency.
