DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin us for a special Old Time Monday with The Horsenecks
  in the Lounge.\n\n\n\n\nThe Horsenecks are Gabrielle Macrae and Barry So
 uthern. Based in Astoria\, Oregon\, they are two multi-instrumentalists wh
 o have come together from traditional music backgrounds and found a sound 
 that weaves through layers of influence that include early Appalachian str
 ingband music\, classic country\, bluegrass and original folk.\n\n\n\n\nGa
 brielle's fiery fiddle style is the result of being raised in the Old Time
  music hotbed of Portland\, OR and being exposed to the fiddle traditions 
 of the Southeast US through years of traveling to festivals and learning f
 rom some of the greatest players in the genre. She gained notoriety as a c
 lawhammer banjo player through her work with the Macrae Sisters\, and form
 ed the Horsenecks with Barry after the two met at a music festival in 2012
 .\n\n\n\n\nBarry’s banjo and guitar playing range from thrilling and hig
 h-octane to moody and captivating\, and his versatility shines whether fla
 tpicking\, playing clawhammer\, or driving three-finger banjo. Barry has b
 een a luminary in his home town of Liverpool’s music scene for over 20 y
 ears\, playing lead guitar with cult heroes Tramp Attack\, banjo with Live
 rpool's popular bluegrass party band The Loose Moose Stringband\, and many
  more groups in the UK’s bluegrass and old time scene.\n\n\n\n\nBoth son
 gwriters bring together their background in traditional music and modern i
 nfluences across many genres to create a catalog of songs that speak to th
 eir place in the evolving story of traditional music. Their deft musicians
 hip\, powerful harmony singing\, and creative instincts with old and new m
 aterial have earned them a place among the leading interpreters of Old Tim
 e music today.\n\n\n\n\nTheir new album *In the West* is available now\, 
 out on Tiki Parlor Recordings. Recorded at the Rope Room Studio in Astoria
