 r’s Atelier announces its presence as a place for disciplined actors\, c
 ommitted to developing their craft\, to learn and grow right here in the H
 udson Valley. Rooted in rigor\, curiosity\, and artistic courage\, the Act
 or’s Atelier offers an ongoing practice for actors seeking consistent\, 
 high-level acting training.\n\nA practice that stays open. A community tha
 t stays working. Most classes end. This work doesn’t.\n\n“We are culti

 ek.\n\nErica Cruz Hernández is an actor\, teacher\, Kate Neal Kinley Fell
 owship award recipient\, and former talent agent who has performed and tau
 ght at regional theatres (Denver Center for the Performing Arts\, American
  Players Theatre\, American Shakespeare Center) and universities across th
 e country. Her specialization in classical Shakespearean text\, coupled wi
 th her tv/film experience (LAW &amp\; ORDER\, CHICAGO PD\, POWER BOOK IV: 
 FORCE) serves as the foundation for her teaching style. She is currently o
 n faculty at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy\, NYC- one of the c
 ity’s leading institutions with the most alumni on Broadway.\n\nCommandi

 weekend workshop\, participants will explore the intersection of half-mask
  with classical dramatic and comic texts. Detailed text study combines wit
 h inspiration drawn from the masks of the Commedia dell'Arte\, examining i
 n practice an embodied approach to performance that balances energy\, game
 s\, and transformational character work. Scenes and fragments from Shakesp
 eare\, Moliere\, and Marivaux will provide the foundation for this intense
  and revelatory lab experience.\n\nDavid Bridel is an artist\, scholar\, a
 uthor and educator whose expertise ranges from screen to stage\, instructi
 on to leadership. He has been teaching clown\, mask\, movement\, acting an
 d performance for over thirty years. He is the Founding and Artistic Direc
 tor of The Clown School in Los Angeles\, one of the leading clown and phys
 ical theater arts independent studios in the United States. David has work
 ed in mainstream theater\, musical theater\, opera\, and classical music i
 n the United States and around the world. David's studio practice\, which 
 includes coaching and his Advanced Acting class\, is housed at Coaching Wi
 th David. David trained with Philippe Gaulier and is recognized as a leadi
 ng authority on clown history and practice.\n\nA participant from a recent
