PERIOD POWER STORIES CHANGE THE WORLD

Stories for Choice: Period Power on December 6 at 7pm. The performance will be held in-person at The Senate Garage in Kingston NY, and available via livestream.

Stories for Choice: Period Power is a culmination of a signature 10-session TMI Project storytelling workshop in which students have crafted personal narratives to destigmatize menstruation and raise awareness around period poverty.

I have had the immense pleasure to be one of the workshop leaders helping Kingston High School’s Period Power! Club’s students write the stories they will be performing during the event. The students have been working with TMI Project as part of their advocacy with Period Power! club, writing and telling their own true stories.

As involved members of the Kingston High School community, I hope you will attend this event. The work these students have culminated is honest, passionate, and inspiring. They are doing amazing work in ending the stigma around menstruation and acting as incredible role models for their peers. Kingston High School club facilitator Tina Dierna, and TMI Project believe that this event would be an amazing opportunity to welcome deeper conversation and connection with the student body.
