DESCRIPTION:Join us for a multi-cultural trance groove meditation event wit
 h Adam Rudolph's HU Vibrational. Folks are encouraged to bring mats or bla
 nkets to enjoy this in a meditational setting\, there will also be room fo
 r dancing and access to seating.\n\nAdam Rudolph - percussion\, electronic
  processing\, cajon\, sintir\, thumb pianos\nAlexis Marcelo -  electric k
 eyboards\nJerome Harris - electric bass\, vocal\nTim Keiper -  bata\, she
 kere\n\nAdam Rudolph is known as one of the early innovators of what is no
 w called “World Music.” In 1978 he co-founded\, with Foday Musa Suso\,
  the Mandingo Griot Society\, one of the first groups to combine African a
 nd American music\, and in 1988 he recorded the first fusion of American a
 nd Moroccan Gnawa music with sintir player Hassan Hakmoun. He has performe
 d extensively throughout North &amp\; South America\, Europe\, Africa\, an
 d Asia and released over 60 recordings as a leader and co-leader\, featuri
 ng his compositions and percussion work.\n\nRudolph has performed with Don
  Cherry\, Andre 3000\, Jon Hassel\, Pharaoh Sanders\, Sam Rivers\, Tyshawn
  Sorey\, Muhal Richard Abrams\, L. Shankar\, Dave Liebman\, Wadada Leo Smi
 th\, Philip Glass\, Omar Sosa and Fred Anderson\, among others.\n\nHe tour
 ed extensively and recorded 15 albums with Yusef Lateef\, including duets 
 and their large ensemble compositional collaborations. His compositions ha
 ve been performed by Momenta String Quartet\, Oberlin Percussion Group\, F
 igura Chamber Orchestra\, and Odense Percussion Ensemble\, among others.\n
