SUMMARY:Sock Knitting Part 1
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nThis is one class in a four-part series that meets once
  a month starting in June. Be sure you are registering for your intended s
 ock step session(s).\n\nNeed sock knitting support? We got ya!\nWhether yo
 u’ve taken sock class with us before\, need a refresher on one of the tr
 ickier bits of sock making\, or are brand new to socks\, this drop in clas
 s is for you!\nOne Saturday morning a month we will meet for ninety minute
 s to work on a specific tricky part of sock making. \nWe’ll rotate throu
 gh so if you want to come every month you’ll end up with a sock (or pair
  of socks!) by the end of the rotation. Note that these drop in sessions a
 re for cuff down\, magic loop socks. You’re welcome to bring your own pa
 ttern\, as long as it’s cuff down.* If you want a super simple starting 
 point\, try Summer Lee’s I’m so Basic Socks or Weekend Shorty Socks
  (both free patterns). If you’d like to work on double pointed needles 
 instead\, get in touch and we can see if we can accommodate depending on h
 ow many other people are registered.\n\n\n 	\nMonth 1. Begin: Magic loop s
 et up for 1 or 2 socks at a time!\n\n 	\nMonth 2. Heel time: get support o
 n your heel flap and/or heel turn**\n\n 	\nMonth 3. Gusset! Get help picki
 ng up those tiny stitches\, getting back in the round and/or starting your
  gusset decreases**\n\n 	\nMonth 4. The End: Toe decrease and/or Kitchener
  stitch support**\n\n\n**Depending on timing and your individual knitting 
 speed you may only get to one of the steps listed. Try to bring in the tri
 ckiest part for you.\n\nPlease note\, socks are an intermediate knitting 
 project. If you are new to socks\, you are very welcome. If you are new/ne
 wer to knitting\, consider taking our Knitting Newbies\, Next Step Knittin
 g\, and Beyond Beginner Knitting classes before joining this one. \n\nWe e
 xpect anyone dropping in to the Sock Clinic to feel confident with the fol
 lowing techniques:\n\n\n 	\nCast on\n\n 	\nBind off\n\n 	\nKnitting in the
  round\n\n 	\nComfortable ribbing (knitting and purling)\n\n\n\nNot requir
 ed\, but helpful if you have some experience with shaping using decreases 
 (k2tog and SSK).\n\nTeacher: Kristin Parker\nClass Fee: $35 for this ninet
 y minute course\; if you register for all four sessions in the series we w
 ill issue you a Yarn Farm Kingston eGift card for $15 (approx. 10% savings
  for taking the whole series)!\nMaterials: none provided\; bring your sock
