DESCRIPTION:Mountain Top Historical Society presented in partnership with T
 homas Cole National Historic Site:\nPainters of all ages and skills are in
 vited to come to the beautiful Mountain Top Historical Society campus for 
 a day of plein air painting. The campus features a pond\, woodlands\, hist
 oric buildings\, a red barn\, and ice age erratic rocks. Artists are asked
  to bring their own supplies and set up. There will be a children’s tabl
 e with watercolor palettes and brushes. At 2 p.m. there will be a showing 
 of all the paintings in the historic 1913 U &amp\; D Train Station.\n\nOf 
 special note: as part of this day devoted to artistic expression in the Ca
 tskills\, at 11:00 a.m.\, the final Greene County celebration of the 250th
  Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary War will
  take place in the Train Station. Greene County Historian Jonathan Palmer 
 will speak on “The Hudson River School of Art\, The Catskills\, and the
