Restorative Justice & Community Empowerment Center

Ulster County Restorative Justice and Community Empowerment Center introduce MyKingstonKids’ new program series “Photography Now”. This free community program is led by MKK Program Director and local professional photographer Star Nigro. We invite the public to view the photography of these talented youth ages 13-18.
Online reception will be held via MyKingstonKids Facebook page live. The online exhibit will be available from November 21st – January 1st, 2021. All photos featured during the online exhibit will be available for purchase and proceeds will go directly to the artist.
This exhibit will feature the photography of Star Nigro’s talented students that attended and completed her third/fourth series, an 8-week beginner and advanced photo program. Learning the history of photography, artistic and technical application of the medium to directly working with professional DSLR cameras in this series and were taught via zoom working with cellphones to cameras.
Each participant in Photography Now also received a certificate of completion from the program. These creative youth have worked hard to create captivating images of Kingston’s Uptown District and moments of life. We proudly present these talented image makers for a special exhibit. Please join us as a community and support our local youth.
