DESCRIPTION:Phantom of the Paradise is a 1974 American Rock Opera film writ
 ten and directed by Brian De Palma. The story is a loosely adapted mixture
  of The Phantom of the Opera\, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Faust and a
 lso briefly references Frankenstein and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Initi
 ally\, it was a box office flop\, but the film was nominated for an Academ
 y Award and a Golden Globe and has since acquired a significant cult follo
 wing.\n\nThe Apoca-Lips Cast\, the Hudson Valley’s premier live shadow c
 ast\, is expanding their repertoire of films and performance at Rosendale 
 Theater for 2026! Upcoming films and performances include Phantom of the P
 aradise (1974) in April\, Little Shop of Horrors (1986) in July\, The Rock
 y Horror Picture Show (1975) in October\, and Repo! The Genetic Opera (200
 8) in December.\n\nThe Apoca-Lips Cast is an amateur theatrical group that
  has been performing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at venues in the Tri-St
 ate area of NY\, NJ\, CT since 2000. Members have provided Rocky Horror an
 d drag performances at venues and events in the Hudson Valley as far back 
 as the late 1990s. The Apoca-Lips Cast has been featured on WPDH 101.5 FM\
 , Radio Chatskill 90.5 FM\, The Feinics Gate Podcast\, and on Great Day WF
 SB (Channel 3\, CT).\n\nThe film is rated PG\, however the performance inc
 ludes adult language. Not recommend for those under 18 years of age.
