 ’t just watch a play—experience and be a part of it. Join us in a supp
 ortive environment as we read  Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters. Session
 s will be led by Shauna Kanter\, Voice Theatre’s artistic director\, and
  Lance R. Marshall\, one of Voice Theatre’s ensemble actors. Zoom and in
 -person sessions.\nYou will have the opportunity to:\n– Explore the uni
 que differences between reading a script and a novel.– Focus on the “w
 orld” of the play\, including the playwright’s vision and intent\, the
  time and place and cultural circumstances when the play was written and h
 ow those components influenced Chekhov’s The Three Sisters. – Read o
 ut-loud and discuss selected scenes. – Attend a rehearsal followed by 
 a cocktail reception with the cast\, director and crew. – Attend a per
 formance and talkback with the actors and director.\n​​The first Page 
 to Stage offering is Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters. Written in 1900 a
 nd first performed in 1901 at the Moscow Art Theatre\, The Three Sisters
  tell the tale of Olga\, Masha\, and Irina. Trapped in a provincial town\
 , they long to return to their former life in cultured Moscow. The story u
 nfolds on Irina's birthday as she vows to work. Masha\, married to the fai
 thful Kulygin\, meets the dashing Vershinin who becomes the love of her li
 fe and Olga grapples with her unfulfilled dreams as she tries to keep the 
 family together.\nThemes of hope\, disillusionment\, duty and fulfillment 
 are highlighted as the characters touchingly capture the nuances of love\,
  the quest for happiness\, and the courage to face their lives.​​​
 ​\n\n\n\nThere are two ways to participate in Page to Stage \nTier 1 (
 $25.00) 4-6pm – Tuesdays - 2/24\, 3/3\, 3/17 on Zoom.\n​Tier 2 ($160.
 00) 4-6pm - Tuesday - 2/24\, 3/3\, 3/17 on Zoom and 3/31 &amp\; 4/14 in-pe
 rson. Refreshments included. Venue: Old Dutch Church + 2 tickets to Sat. M
 ay 16th Matinee at 2pm followed by talkback with the actors and the  dire
 ctor. Comes with a $100 tax deductible donation. ​\nVoice Theatre is a
