In honor of Black History Month Kingston 2019 I invite you to the 3rd Nubian Cafe Live hosted by SB (aka Shaniqua Bowden) who will lead a discussion around some of the most important issues that affect women today and beyond. This discussion is entitled The Hidden Rules of Race: Barriers to Social Inclusion. The work of social change—the work of undoing racism—is changing those rules. This theme further encompasses how to be comfortable being uncomfortable and can also include topics such as economics, wealth, relationships, politics, spirituality, business and life achievements.

The mission of the Nubian Cafe is to promote self-evaluation, change and camaraderie through the participation of open dialogue and awareness. It begins with a mixer in a beautiful cafe setting where up to five women of color boldly share their life experiences concerning work, spirituality, relationships, family, sex, wealth and more. This event has proven to be a unique opportunity for all cultures to connect and learn how to work with each other while continuing to empower that incredible female energy.

All women are invited. It will be an opportunity for the community to learn about what’s on the minds of the community from a woman’s perspective and learn how to work with each other and continue to empower that incredible female energy.

This event is free.
Coffee and refreshments will be available for purchase.
