Nourish Kingston: Sliding Scale Market (Pilot)

The Kingston Food Co-op is piloting Midtown Kingston’s first ever sliding scale food market. Titled “Nourish Kingston”, this market provides an opportunity to connect co-op and community members to fresh, local goods within the Hudson Valley. At the Nourish Kingston Market, you will find music, activities, hot food, fresh fruits and veggies, locally produced goods, and more; all made accessible through a sliding scale pricing model (starting at $0 for some items). While this first market is a one-off event, the Kingston Food Co-op team plans to organize a recurring market in the near future. These markets will offer a welcoming arena for all to partake in the cooperative spirit – creating a direct link between producers and consumers, fostering understanding around food, and supporting the regional food ecosystem. Beyond fresh produce, Nourish Kingston will nurture connections, shared experiences, and a community-focused mindset.
