 . Forming the band in 1965\, he became one of rock’s most distinctive rh
 ythm guitarists\, shaping not only the sound of the Grateful Dead but also
  the culture of American music itself. Over six decades\, Weir continued t
 o inspire generations of artists and audiences alike\, his contributions e
 arning him recognition as one of the most influential figures in rock hist
 ory.This very special evening of music will gather some of the finest musi
 cans from the Hudson Valley and beyond to celebrate the life of Weir. Incl
 uding both electric and acoustic performances\, songs will be led by a lin
 e-up of of special guests (TBA) along with a solid houseband well-versed i
 n the music of the Grateful Dead. Featuring Garrin Benfield\, Denise Paren
 t\, Jamie Flynn\, Kyle Esposito\, Kevin Griffin\, Mike DuBois\, and Kenny 
 Schneidman.Proceeds will benefit HeadCount\, a non-profit orginization who
 se mission is to use the power of music and popular culture to register vo
 ters and promote participation in democracy.
