DESCRIPTION:This annual community celebration for Martin Luther King Day is
  sponsored by the Williams Lake Project. The live show has presentations o
 f music\, dance\, and spoken word on the topic of non-violence. Presenters
  include: Kitt Potter\, Miss V.\, Micah Blumenthal\, Albert Cook\, Rev. Ev
 elyn Clark\, Esi Lewis\, Anthony Dandridge\, Women of the World\, and the 
 Energy Dance Company.\n\nThe screening of the TV 14 documentary\, King in 
 the Wilderness starts at 5:00. The film covers Martin Luther King\, Jr.’
 s life including the Civil Rights Movement\, the Chicago Freedom Movement\
 , the James Meredith March\, the 1967 riots\, the Poor People’s Campaign
 \, the Memphis Sanitation Strike\, and the Anti-Vietnam War Protests. Also
  covered are King’s speeches\, “Beyond Vietnam\; Breaking the Silence
 ” and the “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech. The film finishes
  with King’s assassination and funeral.\n\nAmong King’s colleagues and
  friends interviewed are Bernard Lafayette\, Andrew Young\, Diane Nash\, H
 arry Belafonte\, John Lewis\, Dorothy Cotton\, Joan Baez\, Xernona Clayton
 \, Jesse Jackson\, Mary Lou Finley\, Cleveland Sellers\, and C. T. Vivian.
