 h &amp\; Wellness are pleased to announce that the City of Kingston will h
 ost a public meeting to present the Food Systems Plan final draft on Wedne
 sday\, December 3\, 2025\, at 6:00pm in Council Chambers at City Hall.\n\n
 The City of Kingston’s Department of Health and Wellness has been workin
 g with a consultant to develop this Food Systems Plan\, to serve as a blue
 print for how the City can support a strong local food system\, improve fo
 od security\, and expand access to nutritionally-dense food for all reside
 nts through collaborative action with community partners. Food systems en
 compass all the activities\, people\, and resources involved in getting fo
 od from farm to fork. Resilient local food systems are vital for a communi
 ty’s sustainability\, viability\, and equity.\n\nMayor Noble said\, “W
 e are excited to present the Food Systems Plan\, which will provide a guid
 e for the City to take meaningful\, impactful\, and sustainable action tow
 ard strengthening our local food system\, with a focus on improving food s
 ecurity and equitable access to nutritious food. I want to thank our Healt
 h &amp\; Wellness Department for undertaking this important project that a
 ims to benefit the health of our entire community.”\n\nFormer project ma
 nager Kristin Kessler\, now the Director of Community Health for Ulster Co
 unty\, and Angela Hansen from Food Systems Foresight\, a Hudson Valley-bas
 ed\, women-led business that supported the creation of the plan\, will pre
 sent the final draft to the public and answer questions.\n\nFood Systems P

 ; just and equitable access\; less waste\; sustainable production\; resili
 ent supply chains\; and inclusive\, adaptive decision-making shaped by our
  community.”\n\nThis project has been funded in part by a grant from the
