JOSH COLOW AND FUNKATHOLOGY

Mining the DNA of blues, funk, soul-jazz, and pop, Funkothology creates a sound that reconfigures and bends all these genres. It’s all about groove and rhythm played with a modern flavor.

Guitarist Josh Colow’s playing is steeped in the blues and soul, blended with explorations of raw improvisation. He’s opened for Muddy Waters, James Cotton Band, NRBQ, Talking Heads, Buckwheat Zydeco, and many others. He’s worked as a sideman and continues to be active as a session player.

Featuring some very special guests and a fine eclectic group of top players, come on down and enjoy Funkathology’s musical gumbo. Their swampy grooves will make you want to dance, smile, flirt and laugh.
