SUMMARY:Holding Space Presents The Main Trilogy at Blooms Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHolding Space presents The Main Trilogy as part
of the BLOOM(S) Opening Reception\nat Camp Kingston\n\nJoin us for an e
vening of art and film on Saturday\, May 16\, 6:30–10:30pm\, building t
oward a featured screening of The Main Trilogy.\n\nPresented within BLOO
 M(S) — Holding Space’s second community exhibition\, on view April 30
–July 10 — the night begins with an opening reception featuring more t
han 20 local emerging artists. The gallery fills the studio with as many l
iteral and metaphorical blooms as possible: individual works gathered into
a shared environment.\n\nAt 8pm\, the program shifts to film with Honky
Tonk Wednesdays by Alex Markman\, a documentary love letter to a $10 coun
try-western night at a Kingston VFW\, where community forms through music
and ritual.\n\nThe evening builds to The Main Trilogy by Abigail Bruley
 — a surreal dark-comedy triptych told from the fractured point of view o
f life after brain injury. Featuring performances by punk icons Ted Leo an
d Marisa Dabice (Mannequin Pussy)\, with music by the Sun Ra Arkestra\, th
e films trace a solitary unfolding: one consciousness navigating identity\
 , rupture\, and a delayed understanding of reality.\n\nFrom a room full of
artists to a portrait of community to a singular interior world\, the nig
ht considers blooming in all its forms — the bouquet\, the collective\,
and the strange\, singular act of doing it on your own.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nEven
