Join us at our annual Juneteenth celebration for a grand day of remembrance, community and love. This is a special day to acknowledge the freedom of enslaved African-Americans and we are honored to host this event for the 2nd year at the Pine Street African Burial Ground.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
The day will include an incredible line up of performances including Featured Music Artists, Showtime and the Dis N Dat Band. Also including the incomparable, Marlene Meritt, Kortnee Simmons and the one and only DJ Popallday!!
You will also have a chance to meet our special guest Barbra Allen, author, speaker, and 6th generation great granddaughter of the legendary abolitionist, Sojourner Truth.
We are proud and joyful to announce that we will be celebrating life of Kingston’s own Mr. Paul Worthington. So please come out and enjoy this moment with us as we know his spirit will be present.
This year we are featuring a wonderful indoor exhibit entitled, “The Sacred Allied Quilt Exhibit”. Sacred Allied Quilts (SAQ) is a traveling exhibit of ten quilts memorializing the painful final please of George Floyd, including, “I can’t breathe.” The goal is the exhibit brings more people of all ages into transformational conversation about humanity, oppression, and racism in Kingston.

Other event highlights include great a variety of Kids Activities by MyKingstonKids, vendors, activities, games, food, music, giveaways and more.
