Happy Hour Fundraiser to benefit the Junior League of Kingston Period Pantry

Join us at Ole Savannah on Thursday, March 16th from 5-8 PM for a Happy Hour fundraiser to benefit the Junior League of Kingston’s Period Pantry. Meet our members and help us toast to a good cause!

$25 per ticket includes appetizers & one raffle entry. If you cannot make the event and wish to donate, please do so through the link on our home page.

The story behind our inspiration and vision for this project……….
We have all heard of food pantries, but what about a pantry dedicated to feminine hygiene products? A recent study showed that 64% of women struggle to afford period products and 21% of women can’t afford them at all. There are no public assistance programs to help with the cost of these products. The League will hold a drive for products this Spring to obtain inventory to stock the pantry, with local businesses assisting in collection. In the future, the period pantry will operate much as a food-pantry does, dependent on donations to be dropped off. The first period pantry will be in midtown, and is slated to be finished before the summer.
