 ; Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Cars\, Greg Hawkes helped define the sou
 nd of rock’s New Wave era. A pioneer in synthesizer technology and seque
 ncing throughout the late 1970s and 1980s\, Greg pushed musical boundaries
  and firmly established the synthesizer as a cornerstone of rock and pop m
 usic. His innovative contributions have influenced generations of artists.
  Beyond The Cars’ massive commercial success and Hall of Fame recognitio
 n\, Greg has enjoyed a prolific career as a highly sought-after session an
 d touring musician\, collaborating with iconic artists including Paul McCa
 rtney\, Todd Rundgren\, and The Turtles.In 2016\, Greg teamed up with accl
 aimed Boston-based band Eddie Japan to produce their 2017 album Golden Age
