Gloria Waslyn – Parrots for Peace

Gloria Waslyn, living in Ulster County, known as,”Parrot Lady” presents her colorful visual art portfolio, Parrots for Peace Portraits.
2003, Gloria adopted a parrot, now, she is the caregiver for blue and gold macaws, an interspecies family, branded, ” Parrots For Peace”. Gloria photographs the parrots perched on the arms of individuals participating in events and fundraisers in the Hudson River Valley, NYC
and Washington, D.C. The International Indigenous Grandmother’s Council have invited, ” Parrots for Peace” to prayer ceremonies.
Gloria’s motto for the parrots, “May there be peace with Mother Earth and all people, animals and nature. The Parrots For Peace Portraits, document the macaws embracing individuals at community events with the magic of their peace messages. Fine Art portraits include beloved celebrities for peace; Pete Seeger, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, and local peace leaders, as well as, United Nation leaders!
Gloria Waslyn herstory; Professional Womens Photographers, VP, organized photo exhibitions at galleries, museums, photo book tours, public speaking engagements and on-line virtual galleries. Curator of Fine Art with City of Kingston’s Arts and Cultural Council.
Now, President of Ulster County Women’s Network, as well as, Boughton Place in Highland, a cultural venue for art and music.
