DESCRIPTION:Stop by the Senate House grounds on Friday\, September 5\, from
  2:00pm-4:00pm\, to enjoy a sip of tea! Tea was introduced to Britain in t
 he early 1700's and quickly gained popularity among the British and their 
 colonies. Tea had become such a staple in colonial homes that once the Tea
  Act of 1773 was placed by the British Parliament\, it ended up becoming o
 ne of the contributing factors leading up to American Revolutionary War.\n
 \nSite staff will host a table outside on our grounds with some free sampl
 es of tea that visitors can enjoy and learn the history surrounding tea. 
 This family friendly drop-in activity is free\, weather dependent and runs
