DESCRIPTION:5 Saturdays\nMay 2\, 9\, 16\, 23\, &amp\; 30\n11 - 1:30 pm\n\nA
 ges 16+\n\nIn this series we will conceptualize\, plan\, print\, and bind 
 our own artist books. You can choose to focus on either one to a few bound
  books\, or a simpler zine structure that allows you to make a larger edit
 ion to share.\n\nWe will begin by reviewing a selection of book and zine s
 tructures\, highlighting the Eight-Fold and the Accordion. Students will c
 hoose one of these\, then learn how to plan narrative content for their ar
 tist books. Students will be printing imagery by carving Softkut blocks an
 d printing on their pages with relief printing techniques. Students will s
 pend the rest of the sessions designing\, carving\, and proofing your bloc
 k(s)\, and then printing to align with your chosen structure. We will fini
 sh up by learning how to bind covers with paper or bookcloth.\n\nIf you ha
 ve taken the previous Intro to Book Arts workshops\, you can use the decor
 ated paper you created and/or the structures you explored in that class s
 eries.\n\nAll materials provided.\n\nParking: Please park on either Iwo J
 ima Lane or Cedar Street. Parking that is located in front of the Neighbor
 hood Print Studio are for residents living in the Pajama Factory.\n\n-----
