SUMMARY:Eco Arts Week 2026 - Recycled Relief Shadow Sculpture
DESCRIPTION:Students will combine natural and recycled materials to create 
 multidimensional sculptural forms\, then transform those works into a ligh
 t and shadow projection. Participants are encouraged to collect and bring 
 in sticks\, leaves\, seed pods\, bark\, and other collected natural materi
 als to be connected together to create organic shadow patterns.\n\nCave Do
 gs Bio \n\nSuzanne Stokes created Cave Dogs in 1991 while experimenting w
 ith spinning abstract figurative sculptures in light and shadow. Stokes’
  work evolved to include dancers\, costumes\, props\, and live sound in F
 all of Perception\, 1992\, in the Widow Jane Mine\, Rosendale\, NY.\n\nCav
 e Dogs principals are Suzanne Stokes and James Fossett. Collaborating memb
 ers are Dillon Paul\, Ted Conway\, Adam Mastropaolo\, Michelle Hughes\, Fe
 lipa Gaudet and Alchemy Mastropaolo. Emerson Fossett is the Musical Direct
 or\, Composer and Sound Designer.\n\nWe have produced and performed: Liqu
 id States\, Sure-Minded Uncertainties\, Archaeology of a Storm\, Ferrous
  City\, How to Build a Raft\, Emily's Circus\, Sustenance\, Fall of Pe
 rception\, and Shadows of Doubt and Other Precarious Truths.\n\nCave Dogs
  received grants multiple grants from Arts Mid-Hudson\, Franklin Furnace (
 NYC) and The Jim Henson Foundation (NYC). We also received a grant from Th
 e NLT Foundation (Boston\, MA).\n\n---------------------------------------
 --\n\nEco Arts Week workshops are free to attend thanks to the generous su
 pport of our sponsors and funders. With limited space\, workshops often fi
 ll quickly\, and we appreciate advance notice of cancellations so we can o
 ffer your spot to another participant.\n\nIn the spirit of The DRAW’s co
 mmitment to access for all\, donations are gratefully welcomed with a sugg
