SUMMARY:Eco Arts Week 2026 - Deep Listening Sound Walk on the Hudson
DESCRIPTION:This workshop offers a guided introduction to Deep Listening®
 —the practice of heightened awareness of sound and sounding—set in nat
 ure along the Hudson River at Kingston’s Rotary Park (across from Kingst
 on Point Beach). This ear-centered group exploration invites participants 
 to listen with their whole bodies\, attuning to the shifting sonic relatio
 nship between land and river\, and to one another within a shared field of
  awareness.\n\nGrounded in the practice developed by Pauline Oliveros\, th
 e workshop engages the body as a site of receiving and sending sound throu
 gh gentle movement\, meditation\, and creative play. As we listen—indivi
 dually and collectively—we do so with care: for the environment\, and fo
 r one another. Lisa will share how Deep Listening informs her life and wor
 k. No musical experience is necessary—all are welcome.\n\n--------------
