DESCRIPTION:New York is in an energy crisis. Despite tens of billions of do
 llars of investments\, electric and heating bills are going higher and hig
 her for families and businesses. Fights over land use\, control and differ
 ent types of energy have no end in sight.\n\nDoes the Hudson Valley have t
 he moral fitness to find solutions that are good for our state\, country a
 nd humanity as a whole? To solve the problem\, we first must understand ho
 w we got here.\n\nJoin us for a screening of Kingston resident Fox Green
 ’s latest documentary\, Energy/Empire: America’s Green Counter-Revolut
 ion\, which tells a uniquely Hudson Valley story that starts with the Amer
 ican Revolution\, detours to the dark founding of the eugenics movement\, 
 and recounts the true contours of the lawfare that blocked the Storm King 
 pumped hydro project and helped RFK Jr. shut down the Indian Point nuclear
  plant.\n\nAfterwards\, continue the conversation with a panel discussion 
 and Q&amp\;A with:\n\nFox Green\, co-founder of New York Energy Alliance a
 nd Kingston Creative\nSteve Carroll\, President and Business Manager of IB
 EW Local 320\nJillian Fried\, an emerging leader in the No Battery Plant o
