SUMMARY:Comida y tierra
DESCRIPTION:Seed keepers carry entire worlds within them: knowledge\, tradi
tions\, stories\, foods\, and practices passed down from generation to gen
eration.\nIn collaboration with Hudson Valley Farm Hub\, we want to bring
together those who grow\, save\, share\, and care for seeds\, as well as t
hose who have dreamed of saving seeds but don’t yet know how to begin. A
ll experience levels are welcome.\n\nTogether\, we will listen to the stor
ies of seed keepers in Kingston and the knowledge held within seeds. We wi
ll explore how this knowledge can help us build a more connected community
and sow the seeds of a future for Kingston.\n\nThe gathering will be held
in Spanish\, with interpretation into Q’eqchi’ and English.\n\nIf you
’ve ever dreamed of saving your own seeds but don’t know where to star
 t\, this space is for you\, too.\n\nOur Facilitators:\nMimi Lucero\, a Kic
hwa biologist with a background in science and bioculture\, will facilitat
e a conversation alongside K Greene\, Director of Seeds and Engagement at
Hudson Valley Farm Hub\, and local seed keepers in Kingston\, including
 Q’eqchi’ families and local restaurant owners.\n\nTogether\, we’ll e
xplore who holds seeds\, which seeds the community wants\, and how we can
support those who would like to take part in this work.As always\, we hono
r and uplift the work of those carrying seeds in Lenapehoking—a place ca
red for long before Kingston existed.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nQuienes guardan se
 reunir a quienes cultivan\, guardan\, comparten y cuidan las semillas\, as
