Children’s Christmas Eve Worship – 4:00 PM on December 24. Family-friendly, brief, peaceful, and joyful! Godly Play storytelling and Christmas carols, followed by a free simple supper for any families who wish to stay.
This night is like no other night. It is a time to dream and sing our way to Bethlehem. We will tell the Christmas Story and sing Christmas carols together. Children will be invited to sit on the floor with the storyteller, where they may see the creche set and be close to the story. (Fidget toys, coloring, nativity stickers, and quiet toys will also be available at the back of the sanctuary if kids need to move around and be active.) At the end of the story, we will sing “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World” and light battery-operated candles. Following the service, we will offer a free, simple dinner for anyone who would like to stay. This is a brief service (about 25 minutes), intended to be welcoming to young families and a moment of peace in a hectic time. Please join us!
** If you know that you plan to stay for supper, please either RSVP on Facebook, send us a Facebook message or call the church office at 331-3030 and let us know how many people will be attending, so that we can predict how much food will be needed **
Please note that we will also have a traditional 7:00 PM Service of Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve.
