DESCRIPTION:Celebrating Kanienʼkehá:ka Culture: A Benefit for the Mohawk 
 Akwesasne Freedom School\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nJoin us for an evening celebrating 
 the living culture of the Kanienʼkehá (Mohawk Nation) while supporting t
 he Akwesasne Freedom School\, a nationally recognized Mohawk immersion sch
 ool dedicated to Indigenous language and cultural revitalization. Held at 
 Opus 40\, the gathering features musicians\, writers\, dancers\, and cultu
 re bearers including Tom Porter (Sakokwenionkwas)\, Akwesasne Youth Dancer
 s\, Hataalii\, Sophie Strand\, Theresa "Bear" Fox\, and Kontiwennenhá (Ak
 wesasne Women Singers). Indigenous artists will also have work available f
 or purchase. Proceeds support the Freedom School's new building and its on
 going work to strengthen Native language\, culture\, and community for fut
 ure generations. Join us in celebrating and investing in the enduring vita
 lity of Indigenous lifeways.
