DESCRIPTION:Do you know the story of the twelve Chinese zodiacs? Have you e
 ver seen special characters or patterns on red paper? The Chinese Lunar Ne
 w Year is a traditional festival for family and friends gathering at the b
 eginning of the year. Starting from New Year Eve by the lunar calendar\, p
 eople start house cleaning\, putting up new year decorations\, changing ne
 w clothes\, offering sacrifices to ancestors\, hand-drawn\, written or pri
 nted good tidings\, setting off firecrackers and fireworks\, enjoying a re
 union meal\, giving red envelopes to kids\, etc. The Spring Couplets was o
 riginally to ward off bad luck and protect the families safety\, but nowad
 ays\, it is used as decoration for blessings and good luck. We will be pri
 nting Year of the Horse (馬年 /Mǎ nián/) on Square Spring Couplets (
 春聯 /Chūn lián/) featuring hand-written Chinese and English translati
 ons of good wishes and blessings. We will learn about the Chinese zodiac c
 hart and enjoy Fortune cookies\, paper cutting and origami. Create your Sp
 ring Festival decorations and enjoy time with friends\, family\, and commu
