Turning King’s Town Upside Down – Everyone’s Carnivale
Come one come all, young, and old, to a fantastical, spectacle of community, celebrating nothing in particular. This is Carnivale: inefficient, non-urgent, unplanned, upside-down play in the spirit of something ancient and forgotten. A chance to improvise joy and show gratitude.
Because the best resource we have is loving each other.
Bring your own costumes, masks and instruments! Open mic for music, poetry, theater, dance, spontaneous inspiration. Let the sparks fly!
Theater of The Oppressed; Bonfire; Family fun; planting seeds, and Performances.
Food and beverages available from Seed Song Farm and Tilda’s Kitchen.
Carnivale was inspired by the Kingston NY Transition Group and their desire to change an uncertain future by celebrating it. An un-event of the un-expected. Hats off to the jesters!
