Whether you come from Bluegrass\, Jazz or a Classical music backg round you are welcome to join in.\n\nThey will create a large Roda de Cho ro (jam session) with everyone participating in a grand Kingston Choro O rchestra. Mandolins\, guitars\, violins\, flutes\, clarinets and percussio nists welcome!\n\nMusic provided in advance including mandolin tablature.\ n\nIn 1995\, after a trip to Brazil\, Mike Marshall fell in love Brazili an Choro music and went on to spear-head a Renaissance for that style in t he U.S. with his group Choro Famoso and his label Adventure Music. Mike also recorded Brazilian music with fellow mandolinist Hamilton de Holanda and pianist Jovino Santos Neto. As an educator\, Mike is currently the di rector of the American Music Seminar at the Savannah Music Festival\, wher e each spring he hand-selects 16 young acoustic musicians from around the world to meet for a week-long intensive. Mike also teaches online through the ArtistWorks company where for 10 years Mike has provided one-on-one vi deo exchange education for thousands of mandolinists from around the world .\n\nBorn in Piracicaba\, Spain\, Alessandro Penezzi is one of the great virtuosos of Brazilian guitar. His concerts have been seen in various cou ntries including the USA\, Russia\, Japan\, Gabon\, Angola\, Italy\, Germa ny\, Denmark\, Kosovo\, Macedonia\, Belgium\, the Netherlands\, Argentina\ , Uruguay\, Colombia\, Morocco\, and Portugal. Graduated in Popular Music from Unicamp with a specialization in Creative Processes from Faculdade So uza Lima\, he has been teaching courses\, workshops\, and seminars at vari ous music festivals in Brazil and abroad. A multi-instrumentalist – he p lays 7-string guitar\, tenor guitar\, cavaquinho\, mandolin and flute – and [is] a prolific composer.
