 brings to every show. Created to explore Joni's amazing music from its ear
 ly folk roots to her pop masterpieces to her jazz-influenced compositions\
 , Big Yellow Taxi brings Joni's music alive.\n\n\nThe band features the ex
 pressive and soaring voice of Teresa Lorenço. Teresa's vocals pay homage 
 to Joni's sweet\, husky\, and bell-like voice\, delivering an emotional jo
 urney through Joni's expansive catalog.\n​\nThe mission of the band is t
 o present a show that immerses the audience in an intimate journey through
  many of Joni's best-loved and most powerful songs: a performance beyond m
 ere imitation\, to delve into Joni’s musical intensity and genius\, to l
 eave audiences entertained\, moved\, and elated.\n\n\nBig Yellow Taxi bega
 n performing together in 2021 and is based in the Northampton\, MA area. T
 he band is led by vocalist Teresa Lorenço and percussion\, and features J
 ohn Cabán on Guitars and vocals\, Robert Sherwood on Keyboards\, vocals\,
  and bass\, Joe Fitzpatrick on drums and percussion\, and Rich Cahillane o

 nCarl Mateo is a singer songwriter with deep roots in the Hudson Valley\, 
 NY. Informed by the Americana songwriting tradition Carl renders soulful a
 nd emotive performances utilizing guitar\, piano and harmonica with songs 
 exploring his relationship to the valley and to many of the friends\, fami
 ly and strangers who have settled and/or passed through this legendary par
 t of the country. On Time to Fly\, Carl's last release under the Mateo and
  Dougan Band moniker\, songs range from the struggle to find peace in “S
 eventeen Years\,” to escaping and embracing the world in “Lay Down”\
 ; from seeking a return to innocence in “Devil’s in the Courtyard\,”
  to celebrating lifelong love in “Hey English.” “I’ll be Waiting
 ” is the haunting lament of a man who knows he’s done wrong\, while th
 e rocking gospel-tinged “Revelator” takes inspiration from Son House
 ’s acappella version of the traditional “John the Revelator.” “Lul
 labye Moon\,” with its funky guitar and harp\, is a young man’s rave u
 pon the mountain\, while “Jake and the Bean” is an ode to a lost frien
 d in a neighborhood seeing some rough times. The title cut\, “Time to Fl
 y” is a release and a recognition\, a waving of the arms to spread the s
 ky. Carl is currently in the studio working on a new album expected in the
  Fall\, 2026.\nAs a solo artist and band member\, Carl Mateo has shared th
 e stage with performers such as John Hammond Jr\, Jorma Kaukonen\, Gratefu
 l Dead lyricist Robert Hunter\, Suzanne Vega\, Larry Campbell\, David Joha
 nsen\, John Doe and X\, Matt “Guitar” Murphy\, David Bromberg. He has 
 had the enormous pleasure of playing with some of the great players and pe
 ople who find themselves working around the Woodstock scene especially Pet
 er Dougan\, Eric Parker and Kyle Esposito who are the heart of the Carl Ma
 teo Band.\nCarl is a working textile artist creating organic cotton knits 
 with his partner and fine artist and designer Sharon Broit under the Sharo
 n London Brand. When not on the road working the art fair circuit Carl dev
 otes his time to music. Sounds\, stories and songs. This is the cycle. Thi
 s is what comes around.
