Barbara Holt – layers of Clarity – Opening Reception

“My work is inspired  by the complexity of the natural world.I photograph a vista which attracts me. Watercolor painted forms unify and dominate, so I begin with them, then add elements of detail and contrast using pastel. I explore the unfathomable balancing act of Nature’s compositions. The resulting vibrant images tend toward abstraction, but they are firmly rooted in landscape.”

The works will be on view until Sunday, April 30.

Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, from noon to 5pm.
