Autoharps & Dulcimers 2 (at Maple Fest)
Music & song, pancakes & sausage, kumihimo (learn a new craft!) all in one weekend! Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Russ Rentler will be joining us this year. Russ plays a wide variety of string instruments and will be sharing his talents with us via workshops, performances, and informal jams. All instruments welcome. Norm Williams will also be leading workshops, jams and an open mic. Workshops will be $10/class payable directly to the instructor. Rich Kuklentz will cover most of the music & singing sessions: open to all acoustic instruments (banjo, guitar, ukelele, etc)/all levels. Anne will assist with those needing beginner instruction on MD, HD, and AH.
New this year, Anne Dilker, internationally recognized for her work introducing textiles into jewelry design, will teach 2 kumihimo (Japanese braiding technique) workshops. Both classes will be on the foam disk and you must be a weekend lodging guest to participate in these classes. A materials fee will be charged to each participant.
Purchase weekend lodging & meals to have access to both the Maple Fest activities (10am-2pm Sat & Sun) and Autoharps & Dulcimer classes and workshops throughout the weekend.
