  2\, 2026\, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM\, for a special Opening Night Recepti
 on bringing together contemporary art\, live music\, culture\, and the spi
 rit of Acid Jazz.\nProduced and curated by John Stavros\, the event contin
 ues the Kingston Pop Museum’s mission of creating a meeting place where 
 art\, fashion\, music\, history\, and pop culture collide.\nFEATURED ARTIS
 TS\nNeil Jarmel Edward Berkise Stetz\nThree distinctive artistic voices wi
 ll come together inside the Kingston Pop Museum for a night celebrating cr
 eativity\, individuality\, and the continuing evolution of contemporary cu
 lture.\nLIVE MUSIC – SLAVE REVOLT\nThe Opening Night Reception will feat
 ure live music by Slave Revolt\, bringing the energy and sound of Acid Jaz
 z to the\nmuseum and transforming the exhibition into an immersive art-and
 -music experience.\nAcid Jazz grew from the meeting of jazz\, funk\, soul\
 , rhythm\, and club culture. That same freedom of expression is at the hea
 rt of this October 2 event – visual artists and musicians sharing the sa
 me space and creating an experience that goes beyond a traditional gallery
  opening.\nART SHOULD BE ALIVE\nFor producer John Stavros\, the evening re
 presents the philosophy behind the Kingston Pop Museum: art should not sim
 ply hang silently on a wall. It should live alongside music\, people\, fas
