SUMMARY:A Sound Life Fest 2025: 2 Day Jazz/Folk/Out Festitval
DESCRIPTION:A Sound Life Festival 2025\n\nNovember 14/15th\, 6pm-10pm\n\nA
Sound Life Fest is a curated\, 2 Day festival with 6 performances over a F
riday and Saturday evening.\n\nOn Friday\, legendary No Wave upsetter and
Modern Harmonic Recording Artist\, Otto Kentrol\, leads off the festival w
ith a bit of everything. He samples tapes\, he plays the flute\, he'll pla
y the sax\, and he may have some give-aways.\n\nElizabeth Clark\, the mind
behind Earth Opera\, which just ended another great run with a show at Th
 e Old Dutch Church\, is a riveting harpist\, pianist and singer\, with a l
arge cast of players involved in her miraculous theater. For Sound Life\,
she is playing with only one other\, cellist Melora Creager\, of the belov
ed Rasputina (and a frequent collaborator with Clark).\n\nGuitarist\, Luca
s Brode\, has been quietly wowing audiences for awhile now. Most times Bro
de is on the more ambient end\, with deft\, deconstructed covers and spars
e and bold original work. This time however he is bringing his trio\, for
a special one-0ff performance\, which may veer from the ambient.\n\nOn Sat
urday\, starting around 6\, we continue with two trios you will not want t
o miss. Mike Pride has invited Bobby Previte and Ben Vida for a special me
eting that has this office lit up like a Christmas Tree. 2 exceptional dru
mmers and the always on-point\, Ben Vida.\n\nWe will have a short break be
fore the MB3\, featuring Michael Bisio (bass)\, Jason Hwang (violin)\, and
Juan Pablo Carletti (drums). Bisio\, the singular Double Bass sound behin
d too many to name here\, including\, Matthew Shipp\, Karl Berger and Tani
Tabbal\, has brought to us 2 of the very best in Jason Hwang and Carletti
.\n\nAfter all the fun with the groups\, we end with a simple cleanse. A s
et by blues guitarist\, Liam Grant. Liam\, I believe\, is from Boston\, bu
t has all the makings of a lifelong roaddog. A student of Fahey\, Basho\,
Jack Rose\, etc...Grant fits so well in this fine tradition of non-tradito
nalists.  Last time he came through Kingston\, there was a small crowd\,
but he he seemed unphased. Happy to be in it\, happy to play. We wanted to
show him a proper good time\, so make sure you don't sleep on him this ti
me.\n\nStreet Parking Only. $20 Donations. Everyone is welcome\, sliding s
 cale on the door.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
