Friends of Historic Kingston Gallery
This November 11th marks the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice of 1918 which ended the Great War.
One thousand, five hundred seventy-six soldiers from Kingston participated in the war. Many local citizen groups and industries supported them. The presentation will feature archival photographs of soldiers and citizens taken during and immediately after the war. Additionally, the presentation will feature interesting individual stories about soldiers from Kingston and current photographs of war memorials in the city.
On Sunday November 11th at 1 PM Dr. Peter Roberts will give a presentation entitled, “Kingston’s Part in World War I,” at the Friends of Historic Kingston Gallery on Wall Street. The event is free and open to the public.
