Women’s History Month Kingston is a series of events throughout the month of March, celebrating women and women’s history through different mediums and a diversity of perspectives. True to female leadership style, this celebration is being realized by a collective of organizers and partners in the spirit of collaboration. Women’s History Month Kingston is a big umbrella to bring together all the wonderful celebrations being planned in Kingston during the month of March.
From the launch party on March 1st to the Women’s Bike Fest on March 31st, we’re celebrating all month long with readings, library presentations, theater, art openings, and panel discussions (on race and the women’s movement, #MeToo, and issues of especial importance to women of color). Join us for original performances by young women celebrating their history on March 3rd, an open mic night on International Women’s Day on March 8th, a celebration of Women in Film and Television presented by the Woodstock Film Festival on March 16th, and a Women’s Sailing Conference at the Hudson River Maritime Museum on March 30th.
