This Valentine’s Day, Uptown’s most celebrated shaker-boy, Paul Maloney, unites two of our favorite things in a rousingly educational evening marrying ‘cocktails’ and ‘chocolate’ in mixological bliss. In this second installment of the Stockade Tavern series, we’ll kick off the evening exploring how to pair spirits with chocolate by identifying core flavors unique to some liquors and using these as a guide to make the perfect chocolate match. Then we’ll go deep, making a chocolate cocktail featuring Good Food Award Fruition Marañón Canyon Dark Milk and a carefully selected rum to scrumptiously toast to love. Three cocktails to look forward too are Graham’s Kick, Chocolate Milk Punch and Doctor’s orders, with an addition of a spiked Hot Chocolate. Forgo the arm-in-arm cookie cutter prix fixe dinner this year and celebrate while learning how to make some proper drinks-everyone you know will appreciate you for it!
