The Kingston City School District is expanding its partnership with non-profit TMI Project, and a group of Kingston High School students will perform the first-ever teen version of #blackstoriesmatter–inspiring stories about Black people surviving, and thriving, in the Hudson Valley–for the school community as well as the general public.
“KHS is excited to provide our black students with this dedicated opportunity to identify and express their thoughts, feelings and experiences through TMI’s powerful, transformative process,” said Amy Kapes, Kingston High School social worker, Dignity for All Students Coordinator, and PBIS coach. “We believe their voices are an essential component to our efforts to address the impact of racism on our students and families.”
